Southeast Behavioral Adult Inpatient Services

Our Adult Inpatient Treatment

The inpatient program is designed to assist patients with an acute mental health issue by providing around-the-clock care. The primary goal of the program is to help these patients stabilize as soon as possible so they can move to a lower level of care or return home.

Individuals who complete the inpatient program can step down to our partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient program for continued progress. The program a patient is initially placed in is determined through a no-cost assessment at admission.

Why Choose Inpatient Care

Seeking treatment for mental illness can be key to taking positive steps forward. Mental health conditions are not something you just have to “deal” with in your everyday life — inpatient treatment can turn your life around.

It is known that millions of people in the U.S. are affected by mental health illness each year.

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI):

  • 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year
  • 1 in 20 U.S. adults experience serious mental illness each year
  • 1 in 15 U.S adults experienced both a substance use disorder and mental illness
  • More than 20 percent of U.S. adults experienced mental illness this past year

Mental illness can also cause other health issues. People with depression have 40% higher risk of developing cardiovascular and metabolic diseases than the general population. Data shows that people with serious mental illness are nearly twice as likely to develop these conditions.

Southeast Behavioral Hospital offers multiple levels of care, including inpatient and outpatient care, to keep you in the Continuum of Care and work towards positive outcomes.
