Southeast Behavioral Hospital provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP) focused on helping adult patients improve and maintain their mental wellness. The program uses a therapeutic model as a foundation for positive change so patients can learn to cope with their mental health struggles and go on to live a more productive life.

A partnership between SoutheastHEALTH and Universal Health Services, Southeast Behavioral Hospital addresses the growing, unmet need for accessible, high-quality and advanced behavioral health services in Cape Girardeau and the surrounding communities in southeast Missouri.

Physicians are on the medical staff of Southeast Behavioral Hospital, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Southeast Behavioral Hospital.
